We know someone you dont know, Yogi, Yogi... We know someone you don't know...Yogi Yogi Bear!

They all live in Jellystone, Jelly, Jelly, we all camped in Jellystone, Jelly Jellly stone!

So it was more like metropolitan camping but it was camping..(right off the freeway) and the temperature was just like good ol' Seattle at a cozy 65-70!! That and finals being over meant relaxing like we hadn't yet all summer!! We had a nice celebration of family time, found our little bug on the prairie in the pool (see the improved signing?!) and as a bonus, we got to listen to the above Yogi bear song.... a lot. I guess these Jellystone camp grounds are all over the east coast but we don't have many in the northwest. Our observant SK had the following comment: "mom- you know where we go camping at home, with the trees, and the lakes and stuff? It's kinda... better."

But for now, Yogi will do!! You couldn't beat the location!! -C

The Mariners in Toronto!

Mariner's in Toronto?? 9-12 hour drive from DC just to see the team?? Is it worth it?? You bet it is! Hmmm... isn't Niagara Falls somewhere around there? U Bet. Me and SK will do the Toronto/Mariners trip. I'll let the boss do the Niagara stuff.

The Toronto BlueJays play at the Rogers Centre. The kids kept saying that it was a shame that they spelled it the wrong way! It was is a beautiful stadium.






See those small squares outlined in white on either side of the big screen?? Those are actually hotel rooms. We thought about staying there but Yogi Bear called us and wanted us to stay at Yellowstone. Check out our camping pix later. By the way, the room pictured here would have only cost us $699 Canadian.




Not only were we were expecting great things, I think the Blue Jays people were too. They had a whole Ichiro video presentation before the game.

We were 5 of only about 10 Mariners fans so we were hoping to meet some playes. Our hopes came true!



A group of Mariner pitchers came out to warm up and we got to meet a few of them. JJ Putz was coming in from his warm up throwing and tossed our JJ his ball! What a thrill. JJ caught it too. Then JJ started signing. Our JJ told him that he goes by JJ too and Putz liked that.


JJ was great and signed the kids batting practice balls and hats!

Miguel Bautista signed too and was cracking jokes and laughing and having a great time. Too bad we couldn't understand a thing he was saying since he was speaking Spanish!

Raffe Chaves and Felix Hernandez played catch for awhile also. Pretty much the whole pitching staff was out there at one time or another. It was very cool to see them up close but Shayna made the comment... "They just look like regular people." What a teachable moment. Yes, they are big stars but in the grander scheme, they are just people like us.

Oh yeah, there was a game too... You'll have to wait for that though. We have to eat!

We did it!!

Just a quick note for all of you holding your breath for me... it's done, we did it, hoorah hoorah... my first week of finals is complete!! I am feeling very good about it although I am close to exhaustion, for sure! The kids and Greg have been so awesome in supporting me, and my teachers are giving me great feedback. Thanks for all your love and prayers.

I've been hogging the computer on one project after another, and now we're headed off to internet-free zone (? not sure) so you might not see a blog from us til Monday. But be sure to check, cuz we got a wild one planned. Plus if you are bored on Saturday check out FSN at 10:05 am and look for a group of five Mariner fans (maybe the only ones?) screaming and trying real hard to get on TV. Til soon!!

Zoo Adventures

Were going to the Zoo! And I've got the camera.



The first thing we saw was a Sting Ray,actually,the first thingS we saw were Sting RayS (there were about THIRTY of them!)




The next thing we saw was a HUGE tank,with HUGE fish.They were much bigger than me and some were even bigger than Daddy!





Thats the best picture I got of the playfull seals!(we think they're seals)




We saw all these people looking up so were were like?? What?? Then we saw the oranatangs way up in the air swinging on these big ropes tied to poles. There were two of them.





There was a waterfall and there were turtles in the water below. Turtles are daddys favorite!





BIG CATS!







My Favorite! The Panda's. We had to walk all the way across the zoo to get to them. Thank goodness it was all downhill on the way back. We had to hurry so we didn't get a ticket...

All around the zoo there were these mister things that made it look like your hair was silver and cooled you off.
